Frequently asked questions

What do you need from me?

We will need to see a copy of your pool or spa registration letter from your local Council. This will outline the date of your pool’s construction and the applicable Standard that the barrier will need to comply with.

How do I pay?

All payments must be received prior to inspections. We take credit card or can take a direct debit on the day of or before the inspection.

Do I need to be there for the inspection?

It is preferable that you are there on the day. This is because if your pool barrier requires any changes, we can explain them to you and discuss next steps.

How long does an inspection take?

The inspection itself should take around an hour. However, this will vary depending on how complex the pool barrier and surrounds are and how many non-compliant issues are identified.

What if you find something is non-compliant?

If we find something is non compliant, we will include it in our detailed report. We will then discuss with you what needs to be done to rectify the issue. We will arrange another day/time for a re-inspection within 60 days to reinspect the pool barrier to ensure the non compliant issues have been rectified.

How much time do I have to fix any non compliant issues?

You have 60 days to ensure that all non compliant issues are rectified. If we identify any non compliant issues at the inspection, we will arrange another day/time for a reinspection within the 60 days to reinspect the pool barrier to ensure the non compliant issues have been rectified.

What do I do with the certificates you provide me with?

If we provide you with a Certificate of Compliance (Form 23) you must provide this to your local Council within 14 days of receiving the Certificate. If we provide you with a Certificate on Non-Compliance (Form 24), we will provide it to your local Council.

What areas and locations do you service?

We primarily service Greater Geelong, Surf Coast, Colac Otway, Ballarat & surrounds, Golden Plains, Moorabool, Wyndham and Queenscliff. Contact us to find out if we can service your area not listed here.
